Glenfiddich Ipa is the first innovative experiment of this company. The malt master Brian Kinsman has shown that traditional whiskey barrels can still be seasoned pioneeringly. In collaboration with a craft brewery in Speyside, Brian created a bold and tasty IPA beer to imbue his rich oak barrels with additional hops. The experiment resulted in the first Scotch malt whiskey being finished in IPA barrels.
It is a whiskey with a delicate balance on the nose of green apple, pear Williams and also spring flowers. In addition, aromas of aromatic hops and fresh herbs that complement the characteristic fruity and sweet vanilla flavor of Glenfiddich stand out. The palate is intense, with a touch of citrus bitterness followed by soft and sweet vanilla and a note of fresh hops. It has an end that is characterized by its long and lasting sweetness with a slight hint of hops.
