Master Distiller Desmond Payne referred to what will soon be a new gin. Beefeater Burrough’s Reserve. It is a gin that rests in oak barrels that previously contained Lillet, the delicious snack made from a mixture of Bordeaux grapes and fruit liqueurs that is exquisite by itself and widely used in cocktails. For Mr. Payne, Lillet’s botanical element makes a perfect marriage with the essential characteristics of gin and, therefore, a new chapter in Beefeater’s history is born.
